A collaboration that returns every year

Since 2021, I have designed every poster for the Białystok Balloon Fiesta, alongside other promotional materials for the event. It is a continuing collaboration rather than a single campaign. Each edition brings a new date, programme and set of communication needs, while the work remains connected to an event with an established place in the region.

More than half a century of ballooning

The Białystok Balloon Club traces its beginnings to 1975, when the Studencki Klub Balonowy was founded. The club celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2025, alongside the seventh “Dolina Narwi” Balloon Fiesta. Today that history stretches beyond half a century. It gives the event a context of people, skills and a shared passion for flying that is much larger than any one edition.

A fiesta rooted in its region

The “Dolina Narwi” Fiesta brings ballooning into public view around Białystok and the surrounding area. The eighth edition took place in August 2026, with the organisers’ programme spanning Białystok and Turośń Kościelna and free entry announced for visitors. For the design, that means communicating the attraction of the event while making practical information easy for visitors to find.

What an event poster needs to do

A balloon festival offers a vivid subject, but the poster still has a clear job: tell people what is happening, when and where. The name, dates and essential details need to work together with the imagery. Supporting information and partner marks must fit into that structure without losing the main message. The design has to remain legible as a public poster and when viewed on a small screen.

Six editions, one ongoing relationship

The gallery brings together my posters from 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026. Seen together, they form a record of a long-running design relationship. The 2025 edition also carried the significance of the club’s 50th anniversary. Returning each year creates the opportunity to develop the presentation while staying attentive to the event and its audience.

Beyond the poster

My work for the Fiesta also includes promotional materials that support the event across different settings. A wider banner, an online announcement and a printed poster need different proportions and a different balance of information. They should feel like parts of the same campaign. That connection helps people recognise the event wherever they encounter it.

Design with a long-term connection

Working with the Fiesta since 2021 is a good example of the value of an ongoing creative partnership. It combines real event requirements with a subject full of movement, scale and atmosphere. The posters below are the actual designs used for successive editions, collected here as one project. Select any poster to open it at a larger size.
